Aging in Place: What does it mean?

Aging in Place is the deeply personal choice to grow older in one’s own home and community, surrounded by the people, memories and routines that bring comfort and meaning. If reflects a desire not just for familiarity, but for dignity, Independence and the ability to live life on one’s own terms. At its heart, aging in place is about honoring the whole person—their history, preferences and evolving needs, by creating supportive environments that adapt with them, rather than asking them to adapt to a new place. It’s a compassionate approach to aging that values continuity, connection and care.

At the O’Shea Solutions Group, we understand the Aging in Place concept and we are certified to both assess a home and then execute the changes that are required for living that is not only safe and comfortable, but beautiful as well. Amy O’Shea, our founder has a bachelors degree in design, a residential builders license, and is a certified Aging in Place specialist, so she can bring all of these things to life for those looking to stay in their homes longer.

If you have some changes that need to be made in your home to help you live more comfortably, please do not hesitate to reach out to us to help you. It’s not just our business, it’s our passion, too.
